Turkey’s cherry production has increased dramatically as a result of rising international demand. Turkey is the world’s largest cherry producer with an annual production of 639,564 tons.

An average of 160 thousand tons of cherries is produced annually on 210 thousand decares of land in the Şehzadeler district of Manisa and the Kemalpaşa district of İzmir, which are the earliest cherry-growing regions in Turkey. A significant part of these cherries is exported.
